Shirley Broder
Prior to establishing her own firm, Shirley Broder had accumulated 15 years of experience as a senior Human Resource Executive with a variety of organizations in the Baltimore/Washington area, ranging in size from $70 million to $8 billion in assets, with employee populations of 50 to 3,000.
She has worked with financial institutions, healthcare, trade associations and universities. As a Human Resource Executive, she directed and managed the entire function including: Employment, Training, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Information Systems, and Organization Development. In addition, she has extensive Merger/Acquisition and Labor Relations experience.
Ms.
Broder is a well known speaker and trainer in the financial
industry having worked for the American Bankers Association in the
early 1980s. Ms. Broder taught the Human Resource Management
curriculum at The Maryland Bankers School for 9 years. In
addition to her experience in the financial sector, Ms. Broder has
also taught for the American Management Association’s
International Division.
Ms. Broder earned an M.A. ED in Personnel and Counseling Services and a B.A. in Chinese Studies from George Washington University.
Kimberly Craft-McCallum
Kimberly Craft-McCallum has been an Associate/Consultant with Broder & Associates since 2004. Prior to joining Broder & Associates, Mrs. Craft-McCallum served as Chief Operating Officer for Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union in Gaithersburg, MD, a $220 million community credit union where she was responsible for 45 employees in Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Administration, Member Services, Branch Administration, ATMs, Security, Compliance, and Facilities. She also served on IT, Lending and ALM Committees. During her 14 year tenure, she was responsible for the following accomplishments:

Established the company's first Human Resources Department, complete with HR policies, job descriptions, employment testing, performance management systems, compensation models and incentive programs, benefits, payroll system, and Human Resource information systems.

Developed comprehensive, ongoing training programs for new employees and career developmental training for existing employees, and served as facilitator for employee meetings and training sessions.

Implemented organizational development programs such as team/cross-functional work groups and team incentives, telecommuting/flexible scheduling, cross-training, total member delight, and the FISH philosophy.

Served as Strategic Planning Coordinator, wrote short-term and long-term plans for the organization, established accountability systems and facilitated meetings. Used Raddon CEO Strategies.

Led teams through a Data Processing conversion and subsequent releases, including setting up efficiencies through electronic processes, forms, imaging, and records retention. Worked with a team to establish company web site, complete with online banking, bill payer, loan approvals and online forms.

Developed the company's first Call Center, including teleprompting and call management system.

Oversaw the opening/closing of branches, renovations, and several corporate moves.
Mrs. Craft-McCallum was also the Personnel Manager for U.S. Postal Service Federal Credit Union in Clinton, MD for almost 2 years.
Currently, Mrs. Craft-McCallum works with the Credit Union client base as an outsourced HR department, providing such services as recruiting, performance and compensation management, job descriptions, employee handbooks, and training.
Mrs. Craft-McCallum holds a M.S. in Applied Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Martha Boxman
Martha Boxman has been the Administrative Assistant for Broder & Associates since 1999. Mrs. Boxman performs all administrative and word processing support to the business. Process invoices, creates PowerPoint Presentations and performs system maintenance on a regular basis.
In addition to Broder & Associates, Mrs. Boxman has had the following business opportunities:

Administrative Assistant, Beth Shalom Congregation, Columbia, MD. Perform all administrative and word processing for the Education Director. Duties include: correspondence, registration for the Hebrew School and flyers.

AP Assistant (PT), Security Vault Works, Inc., Laurel, MD. Verify insurance on all subcontractors and request new information, if needed. Code all incoming mail. Codes and distributes branch offices accounts payable packets. Submits to management for approval. Inputs all Accounts Payable and expense reports into accounting system. Performs weekly check runs. Performs a variety of administrative and/or data entry duties including but not limited to: file all paid accounts payable, update vendor accounts, written correspondence, etc.

Education Specialist, Maryland Credit Union League, Columbia, MD. Administers League's statewide correspondence program which includes grading tests; informing student's of results and database tracking of student's records; ordering materials for participating credit unions and students; monthly billing for ordered materials; marketing program through flyers and newsletter publications; and providing individual tracking reports to credit unions. Provide support to Education Department programs by handling pre-registration process and some on-site registration, creating certificates for attendees, and analyzing and compiling evaluation results. Compile and prepare monthly Credit Union Classified newsletter, post information on League website. Responsible for the brochure design of all the Education Sessions that were offered.
Mrs. Boxman received a BACHELOR OF ARTS in Elementary Education & English Language Arts in 1992 from Hunter College, New York, New York and an APPLIED ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE. in Early Childhood Education from Borough of Manhattan Community College, Manhattan, New York in 1990.
